Rob Nickel and Cybersafety for Kids ~
What a terrific guest Rob Nickel was. I hope that you got a chance to listen to him today. I learned so much about keeping our kids safe online and I trust you did as well.
The bad guys are certainly out there so you do have to monitor where you kids go, what they do and make sure that they don’t give out personal information. Predators are monitoring chat rooms, websites and other areas pretending to be kids while attempting to be a friend and gain the trust of innocent kids, like yours and mine.
A few tips:
- Never allow a computer in child’s room
- Make sure you know your child’s password
- Never allow your child to meet in person someone they met online
- Install child protective software on the computer
