Dr. Robert Weltman - November 1st ~

I hope you had a chance to listen to Dr. Bob Weltman, retired Head of the Psychology Department at he Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center,  talk about spirituality and children. He was delightful and it seems clear that raising our children without a spiritual structure leaves them open to violence, gangs and cults. Not to say that is always the case, certainly it isn’t. But what does seem important is that without some deep belief in God, the Universe, or whatever your phraseology is, children are left looking for something bigger in their life as adults and that search can often lead them into danger.  Children are by nature spiritual, so it is best to encourage them to open up to it, ask questions and learn more while being fully supported at home.
