Self Help For Smarties ~

February 21st, 2007

Self Help For Smarties - Sucess Secrets for Weight Loss, Love and Sex, Wealth and Parenting is a new book by Dr. Irwin Gootnick.

Ready to dig deep to find the answers to what may be holding you back? Dr. Gootnick’s book can help. A recent guest on Oprah, he talked with me about how you can change what you don’t like in your life by showing you how to uncover what specifically happened in your family, and how you reacted to it, that brought you to where you are today.

Yes, it is hard to change, but this book will guide and help you understand the origin of your actions and why they have remained hidden from your conscious for so long, so that you can once and for all change.

You can order his book on Amazon.com or find it in bookstores.

No Child Left Behind Act - Good or Bad?

February 8th, 2007

How much do you know about the No Child Left Behind Act? Is it a good system that keeps our children from falling behind and getting the help they need? Does it provide choices for parents if the school is failing? Or is it intrusive and destructive?

Well, I hope you had a chance to listen Wednesday February 7th when I talked with guest, Educator and Lecturer Marilyn Redmond (http://angelicasgifts.com/ ), who thinks this is not good for our children. How can we keep them as creative individuals when constant testing aims at keeping them all the same? Is the government too much in our children’s educational lives or is this a good thing in a globally competitive world?

I heard from a few of you yesterday who agree with my guest that the NCLB act is not fair to kids or teachers. What do you think? Let me know
