Well, I am back from vacation (nice week on the Jersey Shore) and it seems amazing that September and the start of a new school year is just a few weeks away.

Are there questions that you have about your children’s school? Do you really understand how the school board works or what the scores on these standardized tests mean? Well, many of us don’t know as much as we should about education, but I have a guest today who does. The Children’s Rights Council

August 1st, 2007

Do you think that Lindsay Lohan is a bit out of control? How about her parents? Not so in control either, but it happens to many families and kids, not just the rich and famous.

Today I am going to talk with David L. Levy the co-founder of the Children’s Rights Council (CRC) www.crckids.org about how out-of-control parents affect their kids behavior.

The Best Parent is Both Parents. This is what the CRC believes - as do most of us - but CRC also knows that many parents are divorced, never-married or have extended families with at-risk kids. And these situations can make it difficult for parents, and for the kids.

The CRC’s mission is to minimize the emotional, physical and economic abuse, neglect and distress of children following relationship breakups between parents involved in conflicted disputes. CRC is there to serve the best interest of the children. They also operate 40 Child Access Centers (Safe Havens) to provide nuetral drop-off and pick up.

So listen in today and learn more about Children’s Rights so we can all learn - parents and kids - to make good choices ~
