If you have children going into middle school or high school you have certainly heard about all the problems they may encounter. Rest assured they will also encounter many good times - academically and socially - as well. But you do need to be aware of some of the issues that will come up that can sidetrack or put your child in a tough place.

One of those issues is ’sexting.’ By now you have heard of it (if not you really have to listen) today when I will be talking with school counselor and author Jerry Sander about sexting and other issues that you need to be aware of. Media inundates all of us with images of sex. And as adults we can ignore these images and what they are throwing at us - but how about the kids?  When you grow up in a world where advertisement sells sex everywhere, you can get sexualized way too soon. This is happening to our kids. And we can see it in our young girls but what is it really doing to them, how young are they affected and how about the boys?
