Innately Good: Dispelling the Myth That You’re Not

November 17th, 2009

We all seem to have thoughts that limit our lives - some we aren’t aware of, others we know all too well. Does this really have to be? Where did these thoughts come from and why don’t we feel good enough about ourselves to walk past these limiting beliefs?

My guest today will answer those questions and tell us that these thoughts that limit us are completely invalid. Jan Denise has written a new book, Innately Good: Dispelling the Myth That You’re Not (www.innatelygood.com) which dispels the myth that you are not good enough.  Jan, who is a columnist and speaker, will also tell us how to not allow these sabotaging beliefs to get into our children’s lives - how we can stop this cycle so they can live a life filled with easy to reach choices and how we can too. Listen in today so you can learn how to freely make those good choices~

Why Diverse Schools are Good for Our Kids

November 10th, 2009

Do you love your child’s school? If you do great - if not, why? Is it because it is more diverse than you want it to be? Do you feel that a more ‘middle-class’ school environment would suit you and your family best? Well, if that is the case- and it often is as we live in a more diverse world than ever before - listen to my guest today Eileen Kugler author of Dubunking the Middle Class Myth: Why Diverse Schools Are Good for All Kids (www.embracediverseschools.com). She has a wealth of great information for those of us who worry about the schools that are rumored to be more prone to violence because they are diverse. Is it just a rumor or is it a reality? Listen to what Eileen Kugler has to say about this important subject or  discuss http://www.twittermoms.com/forum/topics/debunking-the-middleclass-myth the topic with other Moms.

Listen in today and learn more about why diverse schools can be good for our kids, so you can make good choices ~

Libertarian - The New Third Party?

November 3rd, 2009

Today is an election day here in New York - make sure you get out and vote. We all know your vote counts, especially in small town/county elections. You may be a Republican, a Democrat or a Libertarian. A what? A Libertarian? Don’t know much about this rather new party we heard much talk about last year when Ron Paul had so many supporters? Well, you are not alone, most of us don’t know what a Libertarian stands for.

Today my guest, Dr. Mike Beitler (www.mikebeitler.com) will be joining me to explain to us what Libertarianism is all about, and why it may - or may not - be a good thing for this country. Dr. Beitler has recently announced that he is seeking the Libertarian Party’s Nomination to be its 2010 Candidate for the U.S. Senate for North Carolina. He is also an author and businessman. Listen in today and learn more so you can make good choices ~
