Cruels’ Not Cool
A fifth grader hanged herself this week, a 15-year-old hanged herself in January and a 9th grader jumped to her death last week. All were victims of bullying. And that is just a sad sampling of what has been going on with our kids. Could anything be sadder? No. And it needs to stop - NOW.
We need to teach our kids that CRUEL’S NOT COOL! And that is part of the problem. Kids are raised with violence in the media and somehow they equate being cool with being cruel. Nationally known and highly recognized author of the Middle School Confidential Series of books, Annie Fox, (www.anniefox.com/cruel.php) will be joining me today to talk about her new campaign to stop bullying and to remind kids that Cruel’s Not Cool.
